Of course, we’d prefer it if they were made here. But what could better demonstrate the fact that we’ll continue to trade with the continent after we leave the EU than our passports being made in Europe — no matter the doomsday warnings of arch-remainers?

Just make sure they’re navy.

..and her's you new shiny passports...

THE vote to leave was a vote to take back our sovereignty.

Part of demonstrating that involves getting rid of the burgundy passports that the EU forced on us in the Eighties. It’s time we travelled with navy passports once again.

The news that these passports could be made in Germany or France has been met with understandable dismay.

Here's the thing. There is no reason why you can't (a) restrict immigration and (b) make passports fucking blue while being in the EU. So why not just do that?

That'll be the Radio 2 that isn't averse to playing Janie Jones by the Clash, yes...? Or do you mean Radio 2 as it was 40 years ago?

Ah, the Jimmy Young years with the Legal Beagle, Eagle and Sméagol, the vet chuckling at postcards* from old biddies about the antics of their pussies and the bloke from the Grocer Magazine giving a run down of the cost of the wet fish catch of the day (the quality of cod was always excellent and very reasonable at £2.50 a pound).

* A method of communication I'm sure you remember m'lud where one wrote a message on one side and on the other the address of the BBC at Broadcasting House and then affixing a stamp by a method of applying a little moisture to its back. You might recall the BBC also accepted a sealed down envelope with the communication added in the same manner. Yes indeed m'lud, very droll, thank goodness email replaced snailmail.

They're in full blown propaganda mode today:

Quote:
THE SUN SAYSLet’s debunk the myths around public sector pay — everyone deserves to have a pay rise — but where is this money coming from?

LET’S debunk a myth over public sector pay.

It not true that those 5.4million workers have had nothing but a one per cent a year rise.

Until recently many got an automatic annual increase for moving up a grade. And almost all have enjoyed big increases in their personal tax allowance since 2010.

This is NOT to argue they aren’t due a decent hike with inflation at 2.9 per cent. But we borrow £1billion a week as it is. Where is this new money?

Cops and prison officers will be paid from existing funds. Fine. But every state worker wants a rise.

The Chancellor cannot borrow more without effectively giving up on our crippling deficit. Tax rises look grimly inevitable.

That means less in the pockets of 26.4million private sector workers - who already earn less, have shorter holidays, less job security and far worse pensions than those whose rises they will be funding.

How is that fair?

(27th June 2017 - THE SUN SAYS - Theresa May’s £1billion deal with the DUP is not pretty, but it is best for Britain and means we have viable Government) <----------------- Sometimes we DO have a spare billion...)

Quote:
Militant mob

THERESA May could offer the unions 50 per cent rises and they would strike for 51.

They and their Labour co-conspirators are hellbent on war against the Tory Government. These militants are even ready to break the law — and Labour, to its shame, will back them.

The shockingly thick Corbyn front-bencher Richard Burgon — incredibly, the Shadow JUSTICE Secretary — could not deny that yesterday. Instead he spewed out random left-wing clichés like a broken robot built in the 1970s.

It will be eye-opening for the young people of 2017 to experience the chaos and misery inevitable when the hard-left downs tools. And the Prime Minister must be up for the fight. If unions break the law, seize their assets.

This country is not governed by a leftie mob. God help us if it ever is.

Quote:
Rebels' gamble

TORY rebels are playing with fire demanding endless amendments to the crucial Brexit Repeal Bill.

They are gambling that the PM will compromise, to have it sorted out before our leaving date in March 2019.

But what if she calls their bluff?

Brexit would still go ahead — except with our legal system in chaos.

The blame for that would fall on the Tory Remainers who sabotaged it.

Quote:
Well done, Den

THE Sun extends a welcoming hand today to Labour MP Dennis Skinner for defying Jeremy Corbyn and backing the Tories.

It only took him 85 years to see sense.

Imagine our heartbreak, though, to see this noble man — with never a bad word to say about anyone — savaged by Corbynistas for his Brexit “disloyalty”.

How hurtful to call him a “scab”.

Chin up, comrade. We’re here for you.

Won't it just along with stagflation, falling wages, less Euros for your Pound, public spending cuts and no other countries to freely move to anymore for work or a new life. I thought the Sun cared deeply about low pay. Which is all caused by immigrants.

Alternatively Theresa could repeal the draconian laws that prevent every Sun reader from joining the public sector gravy train with their gold pensions, better pay, long holidays, cushy hours and wankbreaks.
Then all the Sun readers and writers could join the chosen people.

What's that you say? There is no such law?
Then why don't they simply apply for those jobs?

I haven't yet read the full column but this has just been posted.
